Assistant Bar and Events Manager

The post holder will assist the Bar Manager in the delivering high quality entertainments and operations at CH1, the Students’ Union Bar at Chester Students’ Union.

This includes organising a vibrant and cost effective entertainments package for students through weekly and one off events. It is also assisting in the day to day operation, effective staff, stock, financial and administrative management, customer care and health and safety practice.

Chester Students’ Union represents over 16,000 students at the University of Chester by offering a variety of services such as representation, welfare support, campaigns and sports and societies. These are funded through our commercial activities including CH1, CSU Starbucks and two retail outlets.

This is a perfect opportunity for someone who has experience in the licensed trade and entertainments provision. This should include a good understanding of licensing laws, health and safety, entertainment contracts and cash handling. The candidate will ideally have their personal license.
