Assistant Venue Manager

We are looking for an Assistant Venue Manager to work as part of the management team in the EleHouse at the University of Hertfordshire Students’ Union. The EleHouse is UHSU’s pub on campus providing a range of drinks, food and a variety of entertainment including live football, quizzes etc.

You should have experience in the licensed trade or catering industries and a good knowledge of licensing law, health and safety, food safety and cash handling. In addition you should have line management experience in a high volume High Street operator or a Students’ Union.

UHSU is a progressive and award winning students’ union, representing some 27,000 students at the University of Hertfordshire.

A registered charity, UHSU is a democratically run organisation, affiliated to the National Union of Students with a team of elected officers who represent the views of students throughout the University. The services provided by UHSU fall into two main areas, membership services and commercial services. These are supported by a Marketing Dept, Human Resources Dept, Finance Dept and IT and Facilities.
