Bar Manager

As the Bar Manager, you will be helping to support the operational running and supervision of the Students’ Union Loft Bar at the University of Bolton.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual prepared to undertake a role that is both challenging and rewarding.  The University of Bolton is proud to have a diverse student body, and the Loft Bar is no exception.  Meeting the needs of the students is a must. 

As Bar Manager you will be able to command the best from yourself and your team through clear direction, planning and motivation.  You will also ensure that all licensing, alcohol policy and health and safety stipulations are fully adhered to, ensuring that our customers, colleagues and contractors remain safe and happy at all times.

You should have prior experience of bar management and the confidence in supervising a team of people.  Excellent customer service skills and a friendly personality are essential qualities.  You should also have experience in cash handling and stock control.
