The University of Wolverhampton Students’ Union is a thriving independent charity, with sites in Wolverhampton City Centre and Walsall Campus. We represent over 23,000 students with support-based services and fantastic social activity.
We are recruiting a Marketing & Communications Manager, who will join as a member of the Senior Management Team and report to the C.E.O. This is an exceptional opportunity for a high calibre marketing professional to make a significant difference and truly impact the future development of the Student’s Union.
You will be an outgoing and innovative team worker who can develop initiatives in order to deliver on strategy. You will lead your staff team to implement an exceptional communication strategy through our website and social media. You will plan and conduct comprehensive market research and analyse the membership’s knowledge of our campaigning activity. Development and execution of channel marketing strategies to optimise involvement and engagement is key, as is identifying and leading the successful development into previously untouched student groups. You will manage our income generation strategy from third party advertisers who want access to the student market, helping us to grow this essential source of funding.
With a successful track record of achievement in the delivery of effective marketing, you will be degree educated or hold a professional marketing qualification. You will have successful experience of staff management, as well as the ability to work independently. You will have talent for effective planning, multi-tasking and time management, with high attention to detail. You will, also, have experience of developing, managing and integrating social media and digital marketing. Creative, self-motivated and results driven, you will have outstanding written and oral communication, as well as interpersonal and influencing skills.
