Are you enthusiastic about helping students to make the most of their time at University? Can you work in a team and use your own initiative to develop a range of sporting and athletic clubs and related activities for students?
LSESU and The Students’ Union at University of the Arts London (SUARTS) are each looking for a sports development coordinator to work within their Student Activities teams to support student volunteers in setting up and developing sports clubs and activities.
You will act as the first point of contact for sport club leaders and will drive improvements of club activities and events including fixtures, facilities, finance, training, and administrative processes.
The successful candidates will be committed to using their skills and knowledge to assist sport club leaders and will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as personal experience of higher education.
Ideally you will have experience of sport fixture administration; of providing excellent customer care and of working with and training volunteers.
Applications and interviews will be a joint process. Those shortlisted for interview will be invited to express their preference for working at one institution or the other.
Essential experience for the role.
- Personal experience of higher education
- Experience of coordinating multi-component events
- Previous work with student volunteers and student sports
- A flexible, tenacious and positive attitude.
