The Students' Union Advice Centre provides independent advice to students of Oxford Brookes University on a range of subjects from academic and financial advice to guidance on housing issues. The service is well respected within the University and the wider community.
You will be responsible for:
§ managing the Union’s advice service and its’ staff
§ conducting research to inform policy-making within the Union
§ identifying opportunities to develop the service
§ ensuring staff and representatives receive support, information and advice in connection with student development, welfare and representation.
You should have:
§ experience of service delivery, preferably within an advice context
§ experience of staff management
§ experience of social policy research
§ good verbal and written communication skills
§ a desire to work within a democratic organisation.
