Key skills and responsibilities:

To create a culture of exceptional customer service.
-
To effectively manage catering operations team members within customers’ expectations to ensure a smooth and efficient catering service is provided.

To supervise the catering operations such that they are delivered to the required quality/health & safety standards and meeting customer satisfaction expectations.

To recruit, train, motivate and develop the Catering Team members in all aspects of their jobs to ensure that they are fully trained in their roles, and a strong team spirit is established.

To work closely with the Chef/Restaurant Staff and marketing teams on ‘product development’ reviewing on a regular basis, menus & food service offerings with a view to implementing improvements and new ideas.

To recommend and implement sales initiatives which drive sales, footfall and profits to achieve budget goals.

To co-ordinate and ensure delivery of conference/event catering requirements in con-junction with Conference Managers and Catering Teams.
-
Evaluation of operations system requirements to ensure maximum efficiency and to achieve the highest standard of customer service.

Oversight of effective customer interfaces and engagement systems – reservations, feedback etc.
-
Overseeing the management of facilities, e.g. checking event bookings and allocation of resources/staff.

Providing management information as required – sales/budgets etc

Preparation of budgeting, forecasting and monitoring of actual performance against budget providing written commentaries and action plans, including accurate and efficient administration and financial management in line with policies and procedures.
Other responsibilities include:

Building relationships with key stakeholders, particularly other Managers and the Officer Trustees.

Continually identify quality and service improvements and ensure these are integrated into future activities.

Establishing good working relationships internally and externally.
