The Union of Brunel Students (UBS) is at the centre of a thriving student community. We provide services and facilities to support and engage a diverse and vibrant membership. The University’s recent 78 point rise in our National Student Survey rating is testament to our contribution to a positive student experience at Brunel. We are now looking for a CEO to build upon this success and take UBS confidently forward with the next stage of our strategic plan.
Reporting to the Trustee Board, the CEO will work with elected Student Officers and take responsibility for our staff management team to deliver a variety of commercial and service based functions. Demonstrable commercial acumen and experience in budgetary control and financial management are essential skills for this position. You will also have experience of working with Boards and a wide range of stakeholders together with a strong understanding and commitment to effective governance. A good standard of education and evidence of your commitment to continuous professional development is essential, along with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
The new CEO will have a solid track record of achievement in the charity, commercial, or student representation sector, and will be experienced in the development and implementation of successful strategic plans. Drive and leadership skills will be as essential as a passion for excellent customer and stakeholder service.
