The Nominations Committee is a Group committee made up of representatives from the NUS UK Board and the National Executive Council.
The purpose of the committee is to support and assist the NUS Group in providing good governance in the recruitment of student focused, knowledgeable and suitable Trustees for all the Boards where an election isn’t specified in the Articles or Rules.
This committee is made up of;
- National President (Chair)
- 2 NEC Members
- 1 NUS UK student Trustee
- 1 NUS UK Lay Trustee.

What happens at meetings?
This committee mainly reviews and agrees the short listed applications for positions on the Boards electronically.
Where appropriate some members of the committee will conduct interviews of candidates for the Boards.
Every year the Nominations Committee submits a report of its actions and recommendations report to National Conference.
