The aim of this training is to test the content for the Train the Trainer: Liberation, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion course. The course aims to train students' union staff to be able to proficiently design and deliver effective and inclusive Liberation, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion training.
Course Objectives:
• Deconstruct systems of oppression and determine how these manifest in everyday life
• Clarify and differentiate between key concepts related to liberation, equality, diversity and inclusion
• Analyse the training cycle and identify considerations at each stage
• Consider adult learning theory so you can effectively train a diversity of students on liberation, equality, diversity and inclusion content
• Practice facilitating sensitive discussions and consider your role in this
The course is aimed at Students’ Union staff responsible for writing and delivering training across a variety of roles (including democracy, campaigns, student opportunities and human resources). This training is to complement the current Train the Trainer course on offer and to act as a supplementary learning opportunity.
