UCU, with organisational support from the NUS, are holding an academic conference at the University of Manchester from 11-3.30pm on the 13th May. It will explore and facilitate further discussion about the 'role of education institutions in combating climate change' in the post-Paris context through 3 cross-cutting themes: finance, skills and research.
We would love for as many students as possible to attend so that we can ensure lively debate and a wide range of perspectives! We are still firming up the speakers list, but of those who have confirmed is Lisa Nandy (MP and Shadow Energy Minister), Julia King (Vice-Chancellor, Aston University) and Evette Prout (Development Officer, Sheffield Students'
