Lead and Change: College Student Representation will take place on 13 and 14 July at West Lothian College in Livingston!

NUS Scotland’s summer residential course for college presidents and vice-presidents will cover:

• Understanding the role of students’ associations and of student officers within them
• Leadership concepts, skills and behaviours
• Relevant policy knowledge and debating political ideas
• Planning a sabbatical year
• Understanding and engaging membership (including liberation)
• Making change happen, and planning and implementing campaigns
• Developing a strong peer network

The course is suitable for all presidents, vice presidents or other sabbaticals at colleges in Scotland, regardless of whether they are brand new or starting their second year in office. As this is the second year we have run this course, officers returning for a second year will be in a separate group, with training tailored to their needs.

Registration fee is £90 plus VAT per delegate, and includes all meals and overnight accommodation in twin rooms. Single occupancy is available at an additional cost.
