This course aims to enable officers with learning difficulties and disabilities to gain skills, knowledge and confidence to be effective student leaders in further education. The course will take student officers on a journey to reflect on their understanding of leadership and traits of strong leaders, to consider the importance of their role within their college and society, as well as understanding how to plan and deliver campaigns to improve the quality of their educational experiences.
Who it is for?
Student representatives from specialist colleges and learners with learning difficulties and disabilities from general further education college from affiliated students’ unions are able to attend this event for free. Student representatives from non-affiliated students’ unions are able to attend for a small fee.

Delegates from affiliated students’ unions are able to attend for free.
Delegates from non-affiliated students’ unions are able to attend for a fee of £25 + VAT per delegate. This will include course fees, training materials as well as refreshments throughout the event.
Registration for this event has been extended untill the 15th June at 12pm.
