An intensive two day programme designed to give participants an overview of the key issues in student housing and their impact on the community. The programme encourages participant discussion with a view to seeing how students’ unions can make a real impact on local and national policies and can campaign effectively in these areas for their members.
The two days will cover:

An overview of student housing issues and NUS’ policy development

Regulation and its effectiveness

How students’ unions and local authorities are responding to community led issues

Article Four and how Student Unions can respond

Responding to higher fees and their impact on student accommodation

Forthcoming new policies

Accreditation and its role
The event is being run at a subsidised rate of £140 for two days and includes two nights' accommodation on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th August.
