Student-led Interfaith: The Big Conversation
Thu 28 June 2012 10:00-16:00
Manchester, TBC
-
Have you been involved in organising an interfaith event or project at your university / college?
-
Are you interested in finding out about what other students’ unions have been organising?
-
Are you involved in an interfaith programme or been trained and have lots of ideas?
If you answered yes to one of these questions then this event is for you. The Big Conversation is an opportunity for you to share your experience, knowledge and skills with others students, officers and NUS, and feed into the development of the NUS Interfaith Project for 2012-13.
To date, NUS’ Interfaith Project has trained over 75 staff and officers in 40 students’ unions, and organised four National Student Interfaith Forums with over 70 students and officers attending, one or more of these. In 2012/13 we want to build on this with your input.
The Big Conversation is the start of this. We’re inviting any student or officer who has been involved in an interfaith initiative at their university to get involved in this exciting collaborative event on Thursday 28 June, in Manchester.
As part of this you will find out about what other students’ unions have been doing, what other interfaith programmes, training and support are available, learn new skills and become part of a network of students leading interfaith initiatives on campus.
Who should attend?
-
Students who have been organising interfaith activities at their university/college, including faith society committee members
-
Students’ union officers
-
Students’ union staff
Cost
The event is free to attend and we will cover reasonable travel expenses to Manchester, if you register by Monday 11th June.
