Now in their fifth year, the NUS Awards highlight the achievements of students' unions, students’ union staff and officers as well as individual students from across the UK.
The Awards are now open for students’ unions and individuals to enter. To enter simply fill in the online submission form ensuring you fill in all fields, paying particular attention to the criteria and word limit.
The NUS Awards ceremony will take place at the Students’ Unions 2012 conference. Students’ Unions 2012 will take place in Exeter on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 July, with the awards ceremony closing the conference on the evening of Wednesday 4 July.
Students’ Unions 2012 will be the second annual summer gathering of staff and officers from students’ unions. This two-day, two-night event will set out the key strategic challenges facing the movement whilst focusing on sharing and showcasing best practice from students’ unions, higher education and the voluntary sector.
The NUS Awards has been combined with this inspiring event as they recognise excellence within the student movement and are open to all NUS affiliated unions, which reflects the ethos of the Students’ Unions 2012 conference.
Nominations will close at 5.00pm on Friday 4 May 2012. A range of influential people from the education sector will judge submissions for the awards and shortlists will be announced on the week commencing Monday 28 May.
The official twitter tag for the NUS Awards will be #NUSAwards2012 – you can use this to let people know you are entering, or even inspire someone to enter that you think is worthy of one of these prestigious awards!
