Would you like to be a director for the NUS Boards?

We are currently looking to recruitto the governing boards for National Union of Students!

We are looking for resourceful, determined and committed SU Staffdirectors to join the boards to advise, shape and develop our organisation. 2017 is an exciting year for NUS and a great time to join us as a board member, with NUS100 in progress and a new strategic plan being developed.There is a position available for an SU Staff director for the NUS Services Board and a position for an SU StaffTrusteeto join the NUS Charitable Services Board.

We would like you to join the rest of the board in quarterly meetings to use your creativity and experience to discuss proposals and ideas. You will provide scrutiny on the work of NUS and provide oversight to the organisation and all of its plans.

Typical tasks:

  • Reading papers and preparing your response for the meetings.
  • Attending meetings for approximatelythree hours at a time,four times a year
  • Supporting the Chair with issues and sharing your expertise.
  • Possibly acting as Deputy Chair.
  • Providing your support and expertise for other projects.
