As Britain holds its breath in anticipation of today’s EU Referendum results, Megan Dunn praises the incredible efforts of students’ unions across the UK in amplifying the voices of their students on a national scale.
Megan Dunn, NUS National President, said:
“We’re really proud of the work students’ unions have done over the last few months to engage students in the referendum process. Students’ unions across the country have hosted debates, promoted voter registration drives and run campaigns. They have worked tirelessly during a difficult time when most students are preoccupied with exams and final assignments.
“The youth vote is crucial to this referendum and young peoples’ futures will be most affected by the result. Whatever the outcome, students need to have a seat at the table when decisions are made about what happens next.”
