A national competition encouraging enterprising students to bring their ideas into fruition.
Uni Popshop is a national competition organised by the University of Bath Students’ Union in which student entrepreneurs are challenged to test out their social enterprise ideas, produce a digital marketing campaign and make as much money for their venture as possible in a single days trading at Spitalfields Market in London.
If you haven’t already registered, there’s still time – simply visit www.unipopshop.com, sign up, then request an invoice. The Uni Popshop team will then send you an email with more details enclosed. But you need to be quick as registration will close on Friday 29 May.
The entry fee is £500 per team with no more than three students per team. Each university is to provide a £300 loan to buy initial stock and students are expected to pay this back after trading day.
There will be prizes awarded for overall highest profit, best social impact and best digital marketing campaign.
The competition will be held from Monday 15 to Wednesday 17 June in London and organisers have decided to introduce a brand new event this year which will be an afternoon full of engaging workshops, inspiriting talks and sessions with industry experts before the big trading day itself.
