Today marks eight weeks until the 5 May elections, when students across the UK will be putting their crosses in boxes.
Students in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will have a chance to have their say in national Parliament and Assembly elections. Students in England will make their mark in local, mayoral and Police and Crime Commissioner elections. And in London students and young people could swing the vote in the London mayoral race.
Today also marks 15 weeks until the European referendum on 23 June.
Many students' unions are already organising regular voter registration days, and following the success of last month's National Voter Registration Drive (NVRD) we are encouraging SUs to conduct further voter registration activity next week (w/c 14 March).
If you would like any more #GenerationVote resources (we still have Tshirts, badges, balloons and stickers in stock) please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our updated #GenerationVote guide also contains lots of examples of innovative tried and tested voter registration activities SUs have undertaken. If you have more examples you'd like to share please do let us know - we'd love to hear about them and help promote your excellent work.
Also look out for further announcements about activity and resources to help SUs conduct voter reg drives, and to campaign for a YES vote in line with NUS policy if they so wish.
Happy voter registering!
