Students across the country shout about the great work of their students’ unions on the NUS #LoveSUs Day of Action (Monday 23 November)
In its higher education green paper released on 6 November, the government raised questions about the accountability and activity of students’ unions. Not much information was given on this, but it is clearly linked to the underlying assumptions of the current trade union reforms.
As part of our response to the green paper, NUS is gathering evidence of the positive impact of students’ unions across the country. We know all about the incredible contribution that students’ unions make to their campuses and communities, from charity work and enterprise to sports clubs and the arts. During our #LoveSUs Day of Action, we want to make sure that the government does too.
