Student Led Teaching Awards are a positive method of raising the profile of teaching and celebrating best practice, and NUS and the Higher Education Academy are thrilled to announce the new cohort for 2013-2014.
Students' unions at Abertay, Bangor, Birmingham City, Cambridge, Exeter Guild, Gloucestershire, Grimsby, Liverpool Hope, Northampton, Northumbria, Nottingham Trent, Oxford, Reading, South Wales, Stirling, UCLAN, Ulster, Winchester, Wolves and Keele are this year's cohort, developing and delivering their SLTAs.
In just three years these awards have become well established throughout the UK. This year, 40 applications were submitted and funding has been allocated to 2O students’ unions in total: 15 students’ unions based in England, 2 in Wales, 2 in Scotland and 1 in Northern Ireland.
The funding will be used on a variety of activities with sustainability, impact and partnership being the main focus this year. Take a look at the SLTA website, for details on this year’s project proposals.
The first meeting for this cohort took place on Friday 29th November, and the resources from that day are now available on the SLTA website.
