Students' unions launch innovative ways of ordering.
Picture yourself in a rush. Your next lecture starts in half an hour, your lunch is still at home in the fridge and if you don’t have something to eat soon, you’re going to faint.
Well; Edgehill, Worcester and Leeds Unions have come up with an innovative solution.
Orderella is a simple-to-use app where you can pre-order food and drinks before you arrive. If you’re an Edgehill student, you can even order a takeaway!
The queue-busting app is in early evolution at the Unions but all three are so impressed, they can see big potential in the future.
Leeds University Union's Commercial Director Graeme Wood said: 'It’s early days and we aren’t yet using the system to its full potential but I can already say Orderella have been great to work with and the system is very good and simple to use. We are keen to work with them to develop the product further.'
And Ian Blease, Bars Manager at Edgehill Union said: 'managing and maintaining the app is incredibly simple. You can remove items that become out of stock, add in new special offers and even carry out simple layout changes so quickly that they could easily be done in the middle of a busy service period.
'We’re confident that, as our customers get used to their SU commercial outlets joining them in the 'here and now' by bringing to the table modern solutions such as Orderella, we will continue to build on the success that our first fourteen months trading have brought.'
