NUS takes #GenerationVote on the road for Voter Registration ‘Drive’!
Friday 12-05-2017 - 17:18
We’re hitting motorways across the country next week to mark the final week for students to register to vote in the General Election.
As part of our ‘#GenerationVote Week of Action’, we’ll be swinging through some key cities where the student vote can have a huge impact on the outcome of this election.
Between Monday 15 and Friday 19 May, we’ll be urging students to put their future in their hands by registering on the spot and asking them to tell us what they want out of the election.
We’ll be doing it in style, too! Look out for us parked up in our vintage VW Camper Van giving out freebies.
Plus - in Sheffield and Bristol we’ll have a special #GenerationVote Ice-Cream Van offering free cones to any student that registers.
The #GenerationVote Drive will be calling at the following locations:
Monday 15 May
Sheffield (Sheffield Hallam University and Sheffield College)
Tuesday 16 May
Wolverhampton (Wolverhampton University and City of Wolverhampton College)
Wednesday 17 May
Birmingham (University of Birmingham, Birmingham City University and Birmingham Met College) and Bristol (University of Bristol, University of West England and City of Bristol College)
Thursday 18 May
Norwich (University of East Anglia)
Friday 19 May
Brighton (University of Sussex, Brighton University and City College Brighton & Hove)
Other ways to take part in the #GenerationVote Week of Action
Not at one of the places listed above? You can still take part in our week of action by telling everyone how your union is pushing voter registration locally on the #GenerationVote hashtag through the week.
