The government's Post-16 Skills Plan promises massive reforms to further education over the coming years.
Broadly, the reforms are a positive step for vocational and technical education, with some welcome changes to careers information, advice and guidance and a much more flexible route through academic and technical learning.
Over the years we will be doing lots of work to make sure the government are listening to and acting on students views during this process. You can read more about the Skills Plan here.
Additionally, as a result of Area Reviews, the government are consulting on a new insolvency regime for colleges which will be looking at ways students will be protected if a college becomes insolvent. You can read more about the consultation here.
