NUS are launching the second phase of the #FEunplugged campaign today at FEstival in Stratford-Upon-Avon
Today NUS are launching the new #FEunplugged Manifesto: six demands from learners across the country to the government, colleges and local authorities. Our demands for the future of FE are that:
- Learner voice sits at heart of all providers
- Local transport is affordable and reliable
- Student support services enable students to achieve
- FE delivers an education, not just a qualification
- Wherever learning happens, it should always be high quality
- It’s time for investment in FE
The #FEunplugged campaign was initially launched earlier this year to support FE students in making their voices heard throughout area reviews (you can find out more about area reviews here). Over the last year we have worked with hundreds of colleges across the length and breadth of England, supporting learners to take an active part in shaping the future of college education through area reviews.
Now it's time to fight for the future of FE and start campaigning locally. In addition to the manifesto, today we are launching new campaign tools to to give you all the know-how you'll need to run creative and effective campaigns at your college as mergers start to take place as a result of area reviews.
All of our resources, including the manifesto, campaign guide, training tools and briefings on all you need to know about what’s going on in FE can be found on the FEunplugged campaign hub.
