There will then be 48 hours to make and submit a film as an individual or team. No professional knowledge or equipment needed- films made on phones are welcome, creativity is the key requirement!
Terms and conditions and participant agreement forms can be found here. Each film submitted must have an accompanying Participant Agreement form.
The last 48 hour film challenge took place in 2013 with the theme of "support". Eight films were received and the winner of the challenge was team "Unlikely 2 Finish", Finlay, David and Chris from Moray College UHI for their "Two Short Films" entry. We held a premiere in the cinema at Edinburgh College, and the videos have since been used in training and workshops to promote understanding and provoke thinking about how support can come from a variety of sources. You can view the films here.
The 48 Hour Film Challenge takes place for students as part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival which is held yearly in October with a huge number of events and exhibitions being held all over Scotland: www.mhfestival.com.
